Snow in New York City

Peloton Studios New York Partially Closed Tuesday Due to Blizzard

Peloton Studios New York will remain closed for a second consecutive day on Tuesday, February 24th – though this time it will be a partial closure. All morning and afternoon live classes from PSNY have been cancelled, with evening classes expected to resume as scheduled.

As with Monday’s full closure, live classes from Peloton Studios London will continue to air as normal throughout the day, and encore classes have been added to fill the gaps in the schedule.

This is an extension of Monday’s full studio closure, when all PSNY classes were cancelled due to the blizzard.

The “Blizzard of 2026,” as it’s now being called, hammered New York City on Sunday night into Monday. Central Park officially recorded 19.7 inches of snow, making it one of the city’s top ten snowstorms in the last 150 years. Some neighborhoods fared even worse – LaGuardia Airport measured 22.2 inches, Washington Heights saw 22.1 inches, and parts of Staten Island topped out over 24 inches. Wind gusts reached nearly 50 mph in parts of Manhattan, creating whiteout conditions overnight. A citywide travel ban was in effect until noon on Monday, and NYC public schools were closed for a traditional snow day – the first since 2019.

With conditions improving through Monday evening, Peloton appears to be taking a cautious approach by keeping the studio closed through the first half of Tuesday before reopening for evening classes. NYC remains under a hazardous travel advisory through midnight Monday, and while major roads have been cleared, many side streets are still being plowed.

We will update this post if there are any further changes to the schedule.
