Peloton instructor Ash Pryor has been named an ambassador for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
NAMI announced the news via Instagram, highlighting Ash’s work as an athlete, coach, and advocate. The organization shared her openness about mental health and the importance of support, self-compassion, and difficult conversations.
NAMI said:
“As a NAMI Ambassador, Ash will use her voice to help advance conversations around women’s mental health, athlete mental health and mental health in the Black community — helping more people feel seen, supported and empowered to prioritize their mental health.”
Ash is now listed on NAMI’s Ambassadors & Supporters page. The program brings together public figures across sports, entertainment, music, and other fields who share their experiences, raise awareness, advocate, and fundraise for the organization. Fellow ambassadors include former Peloton instructor Kendall Toole.
Ash has been working with NAMI throughout the year. In May, she shared that she led a 15 min stretch at NAMI NYC Metro’s 5K walk for mental health.

Ash also appeared as a speaker at NAMICon in Atlanta earlier this year. Her official speaker profile says she “emphasizes education and inclusivity in her teaching” and uses movement to “address self-esteem and mental health issues.”
In a June recap of her spring events, Ash thanked supporters of the NAMI NYC Metro morning walk and her panel discussion on mental health and athletics.
She continued sharing resources in a September post for Suicide Prevention Month, pointing followers to NAMI’s HelpLine, local affiliates, and crisis support resources.
Peloton also named NAMI as one of their five Wellbeing for Life social impact partners for 2026. The partnership focuses on movement and mental health, support for NAMI’s HelpLine resources, and reducing stigma.
During Mental Health Awareness Month in May, Peloton and lululemon supported NAMIWalks nationwide and announced a joint contribution to NAMI. Members were invited to participate in local walks in person or virtually through the partnership’s NAMIWalks page. The May class lineup also included a 20 min Mental Health Awareness Row with Ash.
More recently, Peloton held a PSNY Run Club with Selena Samuela in partnership with NAMI for World Mental Health Day.
Congratulations to Ash!
