Peloton has acknowledged a bug causing the Apple Watch app to crash on launch for some members.
According to Peloton, the team is investigating an increase in errors with the Watch app tied to the latest app release, version 15.124.0, on watchOS 8.
An official bug report has been created, which reads:
“Team is investigating an increase error with with Watch App tied to the latest app release 15.124.0 and WatchOS8”
watchOS 8 is older Apple Watch software, several versions behind the current watchOS 26. It is the final version of watchOS supported on the Apple Watch Series 3, which lines up with what members have been reporting over the past week.

Over the past several days, there have been multiple threads across various platforms from Apple Watch Series 3 owners reporting issues with the Peloton Watch app. This status page post appears to be Peloton’s official confirmation of those reports, and points to the latest app release as the likely cause for members on that older hardware and software.
Peloton has not yet provided a timeline for when this bug will be fixed.
You can follow the official status page for updates, including the option to subscribe to notifications as the incident progresses.
