In a recent interview on the Intentional Wisdom podcast with Greg Campion, Peloton instructor Andy Speer offered a sneak peek at the upcoming Peloton Strength+ app.
In case you missed it, we recently shared that Peloton is launching three new beta programs, one of which was the Peloton Strength+ app. Intended to be an entirely separate app from the existing Peloton digital app, it is being created “for those who want to engage more deeply in strength workouts while at the gym.”
The Strength+ app has been described as “Instructor-led workout programs in a gym setting, paired with audio guidance and expert coaching, as well as a custom workout generator that designs a plan based on equipment access, areas of focus, time availability and more.”
In the podcast interview, Andy gave a sneak peak of the upcoming Peloton Strength+ app, which he described as a “Gym Workout App” that will provide structured and highly detailed workout plans tailored to various equipment setups and goals.
During the segment, which you can watch via YouTube, Andy outlined the some features of the new Strength+ app.
The Peloton Strength+ app is intended to support a range of gym-based workouts, including those involving barbells, benches, dumbbells, and various gym machines. Note that Andy was not giving an exhaustive list, so there could be many other things included not mentioned here. Those who have home gym set-ups can utilize the app as well.
Andy states that in addition to standalone workouts – there will be full training plans available to guide Peloton members through these workouts with some structure. He goes on to mention that the app will also feature follow-along instructions and video demonstrations, complete with training tips from Peloton instructors.
These detailed workout plans are designed to help users walk into a gym with confidence, knowing exactly what exercises to do and how to perform them safely and effectively. In Andy’s words, the app provides “well thought out guided workouts” that will take the guesswork out of strength training, allowing users to choose from a variety of workout programs to suit their fitness goals.
Perhaps most intriguingly, the app will likely feature filmed content in locations outside Peloton Studios, adding variety to the training environments. Earlier this year, Peloton shared a behind-the-scenes image of instructor Rad Lopez in what appeared to be a gym setup utilizing a barbell, which could very well be tied to the new Strength+ app.

As of now, Peloton hasn’t released details about the pricing structure for the Strength+ app. It remains unclear whether it will be included in existing Peloton memberships or come with an additional fee.
We will continue to share updates regarding the Peloton Strength+ app as new details become available. What are your thoughts on what has been teased thus far?
