The New Balance 5th Ave Mile is an annual road race in New York City, typically held in September (this year it will be on September 8th). The race spans 20 blocks along Fifth Avenue, from the Metropolitan Museum of Art to Grand Army Plaza, totaling one mile. It’s known for attracting elite professional runners, competitive age-group athletes, and recreational participants of all ages.

A new webpage is available with more information. The shakeout event (which is on September 5th) kicks off at 5:00 p.m. at the NYRR RUNCENTER, with guidance from Peloton instructors and NYRR coaches.

Becs Gentry and Alex Karwoski will lead an energizing shakeout run, starting with a motivational welcome, a 5-minute warmup, and ending with a 10-minute post-run stretch.
