Peloton instructor Camila Ramón made a brief appearance in the Season 22 finale of Project Runway, sharing her reaction to one of the runway showcases.
Camila appears around the 30-minute mark of Episode 10, “The Finale,” with the on-screen credit saying “Camila Ramon: Singer & Fitness Instructor.”
During her appearance, she talks about one of the collections and how it was all created within 5 days, saying:
“Five days is crazy to make all those looks at that caliber. Like, it was iconic and one of them, I was like, ‘This looks like Dior.’ The blue and white one. Pop off.”
Camila shared more about the appearance on the show in an Instagram post, saying that she had been invited in April and had to keep the experience quiet:
“I want you to know that I cried! && I am so happy that I thought to document this moment. I never thought that I would be invited not only to attend but GIVE MY OPINION!”
In the video with her post, Camila talks about stepping outside her comfort zone and making fashion a bigger part of her identity and brand. She says that process helped lead to invitations like the Project Runway finale.
Her caption shares that the journey began two years earlier, when she reached out to @lenneatelier for help identifying the clothes she needed and what she was emotionally holding onto. Camila describes the difficulty of letting go of clothing as an immigrant, especially gifts from family, along with the guilt she has always felt about spending over a certain amount of money on something, because her family never did that.
Camila went the rental route to figure out her style, and says most of what she wears today is rented.
In the video, Camila encourages people to keep showing up and taking small steps, even when the results take time. She says she would not previously have imagined being invited to something like the finale.
This is not Peloton’s first connection to Project Runway. Designer Brittany Allen, who has created custom outfits for many Peloton instructors, was a Project Runway finalist in 2023.
Project Runway Season 22 is available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S., with the finale first airing in September. You can find it listed as Season 22, Episode 10.
