Peloton has cancelled all live classes from Peloton Studios New York on Sunday, January 26th and Monday, January 27th, 2026 due to a major winter storm hitting the New York City area.
Governor Hochul has declared a State of Emergency for New York ahead of what officials are calling one of the most significant winter storms in years. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for NYC from 3am Sunday through 6pm Monday, with 8 to 14 inches of snow expected in the city – and potentially up to 18 inches in areas north and west of the city. NYC Emergency Management has issued a hazardous travel advisory urging New Yorkers to avoid non-essential travel.

With Peloton Studios London no longer offering live classes on Sundays as of January 2026, this means there will be no live classes at all on Sunday.
Monday will have a reduced schedule with live classes from London only.
The live Peloton class schedule has been updated with these closures. Encore classes have been added as a “replacement” for many of the live classes.
Peloton has begun pushing a message to devices with this update, saying:
Due to the winter storm, Peloton Studios New York will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 25 and Monday, Jan. 26 with no live classes. We’ll still have new on demand drops – including a very special all-star class on the Bike, premiering Sunday at 10 AM ET and available on demand immediately after.

The “all-star” class Peloton is teasing is the class that was taught by Denis that all instructors were in the studio for as part of the recent Peloton instructor summit & reconnect.
Update – The reconnect ride taught by Denis Morton w/ all instructors in it has been released. You can see details here.
This isn’t the first time Peloton has closed the New York studio due to inclement weather. Back in February 2021, Peloton cancelled all PSNY classes due to a major snow storm – that closure ultimately extended into Tuesday as the storm continued.
Should Peloton extend the studio closure due to the storm, we will share an update.
