Peloton has once again made clear that in-person community connections are a key part of its future. In the FY 2025 Q4 earnings letter, the company announced ambitious plans to grow the number of instructor-led, in-person events up to 10x by FY 2027.
This initiative falls under Peloton’s broader strategy to “meet members anywhere” — a key pillar in their overall company strategy we recently covered.
Earlier this year, Peloton committed to tripling the number of in-person events in 2025. That goal has reportedly already taken shape. Peloton leadership shared that in the most recent quarter, Peloton instructors participated in over 40 events; which is more than three times the number from the same quarter last year.
Now Peloton is raising the bar even higher, stating in the earnings letter:
“We will also increase the presence of our Instructors at in-person events by 3x this year, on the way to an expected 10x increase in FY27, with a proportional increase in our online presence.”
This means Peloton is not stopping at tripling its current pace. By FY 2027, Peloton expects its instructors to be leading ten times more events than they were just a year ago.
These events – which have ranged from monthly run clubs, to instructor appearances at retail locations, to community events with brand partners, to lululemon Members Weekend and more – allow members to experience Peloton beyond the screen. They encourage deeper connections between instructors and members, while also serving as powerful tools for engagement, brand awareness, and retention.

The increased frequency of these events suggests Peloton sees them as a valuable complement to its digital content. If the current pace continues, members can expect to see Peloton instructors at many more in-person events around the world in the coming years.

I have no doubt these events are fun, but with the huge decrease in class offerings over the past few months, I wish they would focus efforts on more platform content than events or even paying celebrities/influencers to make videos for them.
