Peloton’s New York City In-Person Run Club Will Occur Monthly

After the success of their in-person outdoor Run Club events in London, Peloton has announced plans to make the experience a regular occurrence in New York City as well.

Peloton first launched its London Outdoor Run Club in 2023, offering members the chance to connect with each other – and with instructors – in-person through the streets of London. Since then, runs have been held very regularly, with the most recent event taking place on May 21, led by instructors Joslyn Thompson Rule and Bradley Rose., and another scheduled for June.

Last week we shared that Peloton was bringing the outdoor run club format to NYC in honor of Global Running Day on June 5 with Matt Wilpers and Alex Karwoski. Initially it was not clear whether this would be a one-time event or the beginning of a more regular cadence of outdoor run club events in NYC.

Peloton has now confirmed that these NYC outdoor run clubs will become a regular, monthly event, just like in London. Most runs will be led by Peloton instructors, creating a fun and motivating environment for members to come together, log miles, and build community.

Though the full schedule has not yet been released, the plan is to host the runs most months, offering frequent opportunities for members to engage in-person.

This move reinforces Peloton’s ongoing effort to deepen community connections and brand awareness through in-person, local events. In case you missed it, we recently shared that Peloton plans to triple the number of real-world events they host in the coming year. We have already seen an uptick in in-person event opportunities in recent weeks.

Keep in mind that Peloton has two distinct things they call “Run Club”. These run clubs in New York are real-life, in-person group runs through the streets of the city, with other members and instructors. Peloton also has outdoor run club classes on the Peloton app on Saturday’s – but these are just classes made available through the Peloton app – there is not an in-person component to those.

We will share updates on each individual future London & NYC Outdoor Run Club event as details become available; but in the meantime, members can expect many more opportunities to lace up in both London and New York moving forward.
