Peloton Instructor Susie Chan Launching “100 Miles for May” Challenge in Celebration of 50th Birthday

Peloton instructor and ultra-endurance runner Susie Chan is inviting the community to lace up their shoes and join her in a special running challenge to celebrate her upcoming milestone birthday.

In a recent Instagram post, Susie shared that she’s turning 50 next month (on May 10th) – and she is marking the occasion by doing something that she loves: running.

Susie shared:

Countdown to a BIG birthday next month (!) 🎈Obviously I’ll be celebrating by running (& a little celebration party of course!)
I thought to mark the occasion how about a monthly run challenge!
100 MILES FOR MAY – it’s super simple, walk jog or run the distance across the 31 days. Track the progress on the Peloton App, Tread or outdoor! 💖
100 miles in the month is not a insignificant distance, but a fantastic goal to set yourself!

To commemorate the milestone birthday, Susie is launching a “100 Miles for May” challenge, which will begin on May 1, 2025.

The rules are simple: walk, jog, or run a total of 100 miles throughout the month of May. Members can of course track their miles using the Peloton App, Tread, or outdoor runs. Participants are also encouraged to share their journeys on social media using the hashtag: #100milesformay.

Susie will also be hosting an Instagram Live in the coming days to chat about the challenge and bring the community together for some extra motivation.

Fellow instructor Robin Arzón also holds a running challenge each December called “3 for 31,” in which participants challenge themselves to run or walk three miles each day in December, or do 30 minutes of physical activity.

Susie released a book last year called Trails and Tribulations: The Running Adventures of Susie Chan. Peloton held a special event at Peloton Studios London (PSL) in celebration of the launch.
