Peloton has announced their latest apparel collaboration – with a new collection from clothing company 776BC (affiliate link).
At launch, there are 8 new Peloton 776BC items available in the apparel store. These include a unisuit, shirts, tanks, and long sleeves.
Peloton is promoting that this collection includes the 776BC “Motion System”, which allows for more precise instructions to be provided. As the Peloton website says:
But what sets this gear apart is the ingenious integration of 776BC’s patented Motion System. Embedded with strategic visual bio markers and lines, these garments act as guides, allowing our world-class trainers to provide you with precise instructions to refine your technique and elevate your form.
Realistically, it is hard to see the Peloton instructors consistently giving form cues based on guides only found on one apparel brand.
However, for those interested in the form feedback, you can see more about the 776BC motion system on their website.
Their technology even has a special app where you can upload videos to get analyze your own form. It remains to be seen how much form feedback can be provided from the version Peloton is selling, although the description of the items does talk about how the markers & lines are on the clothing.
Alex Karwoski has been teasing this apparel launch for a while now, and has worn some of the items himself as well. He introduced the new collection in a video posted on the Peloton apparel website.
In it, he talked about how great it was to partner with a rowing specific apparel company, and alluded to the bio markers & lines found on the clothing as well.
