Robin Arzon's 2024 Turkey Burn Ride.

Peloton stays online during the 2024 Turkey Burn / Thanksgiving Day classes with over 33,000 members live

Peloton’s servers stayed online this year with no major glitches or downtime during their annual Turkey Burn / Thanksgiving Day classes, which saw more than 33,000 people taking a class together during the peak this year.

This followed last year’s Turkey Burn classes, which were besieged by major downtime and issues as people attempted to take Robin Arzon’s Turkey Burn Ride, which would then lead to an apology from their CEO even as they did set two new Guinness world records even with the downtime.

Although some members reported sporadic issues with the clock or minor glitches, there did not appear to be global issues impacting thousands of members like we have seen in years past.

This year, there were 3 featured live classes taking place. They were

  • The Feast – Full Body Strength (45 min) – Rad, Rebecca, Logan, Camila, Adrian, Andy – 7:30am ET
  • Turkey Burn Run (30 min) – Alex Toussaint – 9:00am ET
  • Turkey Burn Ride (45 min) – Robin Arzon – 10:00am ET

Peloton’s strength class – The Feast – was a new addition this year, taking place at 7:30am ET. This was a strength class featuring 6 different instructors co-leading the class. Rad Lopez, Rebecca Kennedy, Logan Aldridge, Camila Ramon, Adrian Williams, and Andy Speer all taught this class. Peloton’s The Feast class ended up with around 10,105 members taking this live at the peak.

This class was followed by Alex Toussaint’s 30 min Turkey Burn Run. Alex’s class had around 9,420 people live on the leaderboard.

Peloton’s live Thanksgiving day classes concluded with Robin Arzon’s 45 min Turkey Burn Ride at 10:00am ET. This is traditionally the largest live leaderboard for Peloton for the year – and this was no exception. At it’s peak this year, there were around 33,450 people taking Robin’s class together live.

These numbers are down slightly from previous years. Below, you can see the approximate number of people who have taken Peloton’s Turkey Burn classes live for each of the past several years. Peloton has been holding their annual Turkey Burn classes for a number of years prior to 2020 as well, however, the number of live riders was nowhere near what it was beginning in 2020.

As expected, this was by far Peloton’s largest live class of the year. The previous largest ride this year was Kendall Toole’s farewell class, which had over 19,000 people riding live on a Saturday morning.
