Two new Peloton tablet screens: PLTN-ATR101 & PLTN-RTR101

Two New Peloton Screens Filed With FCC (Models PLTN-ATR101 & PLTN-RTR101) – New Tablets for Peloton Bike, Bike+ & more?

Peloton appears to have two new tablets (or screens) in development. These were tested on the Peloton Bike & Bike+, though could also eventually come to Peloton Tread & Row as well as they share screens.

Recent filings with the FCC reveal two different Peloton screen models that are in development. These are PLTN-ATR101 & PLTN-RTR101 (also referenced as 2AA3N-ATR101 & 2AA3N-RTR101).

At this time, the filings do not reveal the exact changes that have been made in these new models. While some previous FCC filings have ended up being for bigger changes (like the upgraded screen between Bike & Bike+), others have been for smaller updates, such as just slightly upgrading the CPU contained within them.

However, there are signs that these could be bigger upgrades.

Peloton recently shared that they will have periodic closures this summer as they install 4K cameras in the studio. Peloton’s current tablets on all of their devices are only 1080P. So it’s possible a new tablet could be released with a 4K screen to take advantage of the new 4K cameras being installed at Peloton Studios New York.

We also shared last year that Peloton R&D had a version of the Bike+ screen with the Guide camera embedded in it. This would possibly allow the Peloton Bike+ to do rep counting and other Peloton Guide features. However, it is important to keep in mind that many enhancements get made in R&D that are never officially released.

These new Peloton screens have been in development for a while, as some of the testing FCC documents show that testing began on these years ago. The PLTN-ATR101 / 2AA3N-ATR101 shows some tests were done in May of 2024 for it, while the PLTN-RTR101 / 2AA3N-RTR101 shows some testing done in November 2023.

While the application doesn’t explicitly state which devices the screens are for, the testing documents show that PLTN-RTR101 / 2AA3N-RTR101 was testing on a Peloton Bike+, while the PLTN-ATR101 / 2AA3N-ATR101 was tested on a Peloton Bike. However, the same screen is shared between some of the Peloton devices, so these could be used across multiple devices once released.

What upgrades would you hope to see in a new Peloton screen?
