Peloton instructor Tunde Oyeneyin has added another milestone to her already impressive résumé: finalist in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2025 Swim Search. The winner will be determined, at least in part, by a public voting process running until the end of July.
Update – Tunde has won the contest and will be in the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.
The high-profile competition recently featured Tunde as one of just six women chosen to walk the runway at Miami Swim Week as part of SI’s showcase on Saturday, May 31. The Swim Search is SI Swimsuit’s annual open casting call, designed to discover new talent and diverse perspectives. The ultimate prize is a feature in the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
SI announced the six finalists ahead of the event. Tunde appeared alongside fellow finalists Ally Mason, Dominique Ruotolo, Jilly Anais, Leticia Martinez and Raeann Langas.
Sports Illustrated published an article recapping the event, with the following summary of Tunde’s showing:
On Saturday night in Miami, Oyeneyin took to the runway in two distinctly fierce looks that swimwear fans will be clamoring to add to their already packed collections. For one walk, the fitness guru donned a daring yellow one-piece with a playful pattern made up of large black polka dots. The swimsuit was extremely high-cut on the legs for a jaw-dropping final silhouette, and the tie around the waist cinched the fabric for the perfect hourglass look.

In the days surrounding the event, Tunde shared personal reflections and behind-the-scenes content on Instagram. In a heartfelt post that included a clip from a recent Peloton cycling class, Tunde explained how she is doing this for herself, writing:
Ahhh!!!!!! I’m so excited!!!
This one is for grown ass Tunde ❤️
Thank you for this opportunity and I’ll see you on the runway @si_swimsuit 👙
Tunde also shared a gratitude post dedicated to her fellow instructors, many of whom appeared in a feel-good video wishing her good luck ahead of the runway show.
This step into the world of modeling marks a full-circle moment for Tunde, who has spoken openly about body image and self-worth throughout her career. Following her appearance at the show, she shared a recap via Instagram. Tunde explained that in just a couple of short days, she felt like she formed lifelong friendships within an incredibly supportive community. She expressed deep admiration for the women she stood beside, saying each one is an extraordinary individual who fully deserves this opportunity.
According to SI’s announcement, finalists were chosen not only for their beauty but for their unique stories and ability to inspire others.
To wrap up the competition, Sports Illustrated is holding a public vote on who the winner should be. You can vote here for your favorite finalist.
The voting will run until July 31, 2025, and you may vote once per day.
Note that the public vote is not the only deciding factor. The SI team says “polling is officially underway, with audience input playing a key role, combined with the discretion of the SI Swimsuit editorial team, in the outcome.”
Congratulations, and good luck to Tunde!
