This week Peloton is continuing their second week of the “Countdown to Turkey Burn” challenge – which is now seeing most of the classes occur live. Peloton has also revealed who to expect to be teaching live classes on Thanksgiving Day this year.
Andy Speer shared this week that the only reason the first week of Countdown To Turkey Burn took place as on-demand classes rather than live was that the New York studios had been closed for the week. Now that the studio is open again – classes will (mostly) take place live for the remaining weeks of the challenge.
Of course, given the studios typically don’t have live classes on Wednesdays even when they are open – Wednesday’s core and mobility classes will continue to be released straight to on-demand. The Peloton upcoming schedule has been mostly updated to reflect this, and Andy taught the first live class of the program on Monday, November 10 at 6:30am ET. You can see a full list of the Countdown to Turkey Burn classes, including upcoming ones, here.
There will be some exceptions to this – as we saw this morning on Tuesday, November 11th. Tunde Oyeneyin was scheduled to teach a live ride as part of the countdown, but at the last moment, it was cancelled, and instead, Robin Arzon’s Week 1 ride was quickly relabeled as being for both Week 1 & 2.
Although typically live classes are only posted to the on-demand library a few times a day (something they changed last year) – it appears Peloton may make an effort to post these Countdown to Turkey Burn classes more quickly. The classes from this morning were released on-demand within an hour of taking place – much quicker than normal.
The Countdown to Turkey Burn series leads directly into Peloton’s annual Thanksgiving celebration – one of their signature events of the year. During Peloton’s recent earnings call, CEO Peter Stern revealed details about what exactly is in store for Thanksgiving Day 2025. He stated:
“For Thanksgiving, we will have a veritable buffet of new live and on-demand classes available — including a live Turkey Burn Ride with Robin Arzón, a live Turkey Burn Run with Kirsten Ferguson, and The Feast, a live full-body strength class with six of our strength instructors.”
The Peloton Turkey Burn Ride and Run have become hallmark holiday events, drawing massive participation from the community each year. Robin Arzon is continuing her tradition of teaching a live Turkey Burn Ride, while Kirsten Ferguson will teach a live Turkey Burn Run on Thanksgiving. Although Alex Toussaint has historically had a live Thanksiving day class for the past several years, it was not teased in the remarks by Peloton’s CEO. It is not known at this time whether he is taking a year off from them, has a pre-recorded class being released on-demand – or has a class that just wasn’t mentioned by Peter Stern.

In addition, Peloton will hold the second annual Feast strength class with six different instructors. We will share more details on that class – as well as the full Turkey Burn and Thanksgiving lineup – as information is revealed.
Peloton has historically made a big deal about the Turkey Burn classes – including setting two Guinness world records for participation during the 2023 classes – which also saw Peloton’s servers crash during this attempt. Although overall participation was less during the 2024 live classes, Peloton had no server outages.
This is the first year Peloton has held an official Countdown to Turkey Burn Program. Revealed at the end of October, the countdown to Turkey Burn is a three week cross-training program designed to improve strength and endurance. As part of this, Peloton is also holding a dedicated Countdown to Turkey Burn Flash Challenge, with a special badge available to members who are participating in the program.

Andy Speer’s Turkey Burn strength class on Monday didn’t show up on the platform for hours. But here’s the workaround for my fellow Turkey Burn pals on the West Coast, or not taking classes live. Open the app and bring up the live schedule. Scroll back and you’ll see the Turkey Burn classes. They’ll be faded out. Click it – and voila, the damn thing opens up and you can take the class! I was furious it wasn’t available on the regular calendar through the hardware. I was able to access it two hours later, long before it actually showed up under the TB collection.
