Susie Chan Announces New Role Within Peloton: Training Specialist UK Instructors & Tread Global

Peloton instructor Susie Chan has taken on a new position within Peloton as a training specialist for instructors. She shared the news via LinkedIn and reshared on Instagram, writing:

“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Training Specialist UK Instructors & Tread Global at Peloton Interactive!”

This likely means that Susie will be one of the individuals responsible for training existing and any eventual new instructors – both for the United Kingdom team regardless of modality; as well as for the Tread team based in New York City.

It is worth noting that Peloton has not hired any new full-time instructors – Christian Vande Velde rejoined the Peloton team as a guest instructor last year – in a number of years.

In 2024, numerous instructor departures left members in a state of speculation. At that time, Peloton explicitly confirmed that all remaining instructors had signed new contracts, and mentioned the possibility of bringing on new instructors to the company. However, there have not been any recent hints that new instructors may be on the way in the near future.

Susie will remain an instructor, this is simply an additional role and set of responsibilities in addition to her coaching work.

There are numerous Peloton instructors who maintain higher level roles outside of their instructor responsibilities. For example, Robin Arzón is the Head Instructor; Cody Rigsby has historically helped to recruit and train new instructors; Rebecca Kennedy was the director of strength programming; and Ally Love recently shared that is now the Vice President of Instructor Strategy and Development.

Peloton does not publish these titles online, so the only way to find out about them is directly from the instructor if they choose to share.

Congratulations to Susie on this new role!

Peloton also has an opening for a casting manager on their careers page whose job responsibilities would primarily be recruiting instructors. Seems like they are pretty keen on bringing on new instructors.
