Peloton Revamps Discount Program For Military, Teachers, Healthcare Workers, First Responders, Veterinarians, Students (Discounts on Hardware & App with “Special Pricing Program”)

Peloton has announced a revamp of it’s “Special Pricing Program” with updated discounts & pricing. This program celebrates everyday heroes such as veterans, teachers, and medical professionals.

The company has now said they will be providing “deeper discounts” across both their app membership, and hardware offers (though one thing that is not changing is there is still no discount on the All-Access membership for hardware owners).

They said:

Peloton’s Special Pricing program was designed to support the people who power our world. Beginning May 14, eligible educators, healthcare workers, first responders, and military personnel in the US can access updated special pricing with deeper discounts across even more of the Peloton product portfolio.

The new offers are available to teachers, military personnel & veterans, medical professionals, veterinarians, and first responders; with students (18+) also eligible for app membership discounts.

This “refreshed” program includes price cuts on nearly every piece of Peloton hardware, along with reduced rates for the Peloton App’s two subscription tiers, App One and App+.

Peloton previously offered $200 off of hardware products as part of this program to many of these same groups. Moving forward, they have determined set amounts based on the device, offering up to $600 off. Note that students are not eligible for the hardware discounts. The exact breakdown is listed below:

There are also new discounts on the app membership. Teachers, military, medical workers, veterinarians, and first responders can access the Peloton App One for $9.99/month or $99/year; and can access the Peloton App+ for $19.99/month or $199/year.

Students are eligible for an app discount amounting to $6.99/month or $75/year for App One; and $12.99/month or $129/year for App+.

Prior to this change, only the Peloton App One tier was available for a discount; the Peloton App+ tier was not. And, they only offered the reduced monthly price for App One – you could not get an even bigger discount by signing up for the full year / annual subscription.

Peloton Vice President of Growth Jennifer Director stated:

“We recognize the incredible contributions these communities have made to our society and want to ensure they have access to the tools and resources they need to support their physical and mental wellbeing. By expanding our special pricing and making it easier to discover and redeem discounts, we’re helping more people start—and stay—on their fitness journey with Peloton.”
