Peloton “HIIT That Shot” Event at NBA All-Star Crossover Experience

The NBA-All star game is taking place this weekend (February 16-18, 2024) in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Earlier this year, Peloton held a contest where one person would win a Bike+, as well as tickets to the NBA-All Star Game. However, Peloton’s partnership with the NBA All-Star weekend is going further than that.

As part of the weekend, there is a “NBA Crossover” event. It is described as “a multi-day interactive fan event that brings basketball culture to the forefront, featuring more than 350K sq. ft. of basketball and interactive experiences, player appearances, live performances and unique activations focused on art, music, fashion, technology and entertainment!”

At NBA Crossover, Peloton has created an experience for fans, called “HIIT That Shot”. It consists of 5 different stations, where you pair a short amount of exercise with a basketball shot.

Peloton instructors Rad Lopez, Tunde Oyeneyin, and Kirsten Ferguson are all in Indianapolis for different activations as part of NBA All-Star weekend, and all of them spent at least a little bit of time interacting with fans at the HIIT That Shot event.

The instructors have been sharing pictures on social media of them at various small events, as well as at the NBA Crossover HIIT the Shot activation as well.

WHTR 13 News anchor Anne Marie Tiernon shared a video & report on the Peloton “HIIT That Shot” event.

Rad Lopez, Tunde Oyeneyin, as well as basketball star Bill Walton all participated in the demo for the news station.

First is the “Rideaway Three” station, where you begin by riding a Peloton Bike+ for 20 seconds, followed by taking a three point.

The second station is “Floor Throw”. Here, you do 10 situps, followed by taking a shot (at a very short hoop) from the floor.

The third station is “Box Jumper”, which consists of 10 box jumps, ending with a jump shot from inside the free throw line.

The next station is “Bicep Beater”. This station is 10 bicep curls with Peloton weights, and then trying to make a shot on an extra-high basket.

The event ends with the “Run The Break” station, which is a 20 second run on a Peloton Tread+, and then taking a free throw.

Your receive an overall score from the event, and are placed on a leaderboard where you can win prizes for having the highest score.

Last year, Peloton announced an ongoing partnership with the NBA and WNBA, which was announced last October. This was followed by the launch of NBA League Pass on Peloton Entertainment.

And as we see from this activation at the NBA All-Star game and weekend, expect to see more collaborations between Peloton and the NBA as time goes on.

Peloton instructor Alex Toussaint has previously competed in the celebrity events of the weekend, but was not named to the NBA Celebrity All-Star game this year.
