Peloton Updates Milestones & Achievement Badges with New Graphics & Styles

Peloton members who have reached a personal record or milestone achievement in recent days have likely noticed a brand new badge.

Peloton has updated the milestone and achievement badges with new graphics that are markedly different from the previous versions. This includes milestones such as the number of classes across fitness modalities – first ride, 100th run, etc. – as well as streaks – both daily and weekly.

The previous version of the milestone and achievement badges had a muted blue background with white font.

The revamped versions are much brighter, with a variety of colors such as pink, purple, green, and red, all with white font. The badges also carry new and unique customizations based on the modality.

For example, bootcamp class badges specifically say “bootcamp,” and the row badges have a design that looks similar to waves.

Daily and weekly streak badges also have a refreshed look, including a color distinction between weekly and yearly achievements.

Members can expect to see the updated badges when they log into their profiles on the web browser, digital app, or hardware device. Note that all other badges currently appear to be the same – such as special event badges, social badges, challenge badges, and program badges.

It also appears that some of these badge updates are still rolling out, as at time of publishing, the strength badge has only updated part of the milestones with the new badges – while higher number badges are still the old style.

What do you think of Peloton’s revamped milestone and achievement badges?

I don’t really like the new colors and updated badges. The older light blue ones were easier on the eyes.

Would it kill them to make badges for years beyond four years? Why is year four the pinnacle of success? One doesn’t stop working out consistently once they reach year four.

Most importantly, where did the completed program badges go? I never worked harder in Peloton than in Road to Your 26.2, and I was so
proud of those three badges. Hopefully they reappear at some point.

    Sorry for all the negativity!

I am curious how difficult it is for Peloton to create yearly milestone badges beyond four years or milestone badges beyond 5000. Seems odd that members aren’t rewarded beyond those milestones.

I’d say the badges are a classic example of over-engineered tech for a simple need. Maybe they work for 10% of die hards, but not the other 80-90%. There’s a reason the acronym KISS exists.
