Peloton instructor Mayla Wedekind has given birth to her first child! She shared the news via Instagram.
In her video, it shows her new child in a cradle. Her new child is wearing a shirt that says “Little Surf Buddy”
Mayla’s post said:
We made it ✈️
Mayla has not yet shared her baby’s name, gender, when exactly she gave birth.
Several of her fellow Peloton instructors have posted their congratulations to Mayla and her family. Leanne Hainsby said “welcome to the world little surfer bubba!” Anna Greenberg posted a message saying “Welcome to the world little surfer!! 🤙🏼 we love you! ❤️❤️”
Ally Love left a message saying “Yay! So happy!!!!! Beautiful 🤩”
After teasing the news for months, Mayla officially announced her pregnancy in September 2023. Fellow instructor Callie Gullickson is also pregnant and is due in March 2024.
Mayla has been off the live schedule in recent weeks and has not yet shared an exact date for her return – though historically instructors have taken a maternity leave of approximately five months.
