Jess Sims Split Strength Program Being Recorded – Potential Release in January?

Peloton instructor Jess Sims shared exciting news during her Bike Bootcamp class yesterday: she is currently recording a new split strength program.

Jess made the mention during her 45 minute Bike Bootcamp class from November 26 at 12:00pm ET.

This will mark Jess’ first split strength program and, moreover, her first solo official Peloton program. Jess has taught two Floor Bootcamp programs – which mix strength and mat-based HIIT cardio – alongside Selena Samuela, but has yet to release her own official strength training program on the Peloton platform.

Jess has not yet specified whether her new program will be a traditional split strength program or one of the newer Split+ programs Peloton launched last month. The Split+ programs are technically bootcamp-style classes that incorporate strength training alongside cardio sessions like running, cycling, or rowing, offering a hybrid workout experience.

Given that Jess teaches on both the Tread – for running, walking, hiking, and Tread bootcamps – as well as the Bike – for Bike Bootcamp – it is possible that she is working on a new Split+ program. However, she could also be planning a traditional split strength training program.

The new program is reportedly tentatively scheduled for release in January, though Peloton timelines are always subject to change.

Split strength training is a workout approach where different muscle groups are targeted on different days. This method contrasts with full-body strength workouts, which engage all major muscle groups in a single session. The advantage of a split strength program is that it allows for more focused and intense work on each muscle group, often leading to better strength and muscle development over time. It also ensures adequate recovery for specific areas while others are being trained.

Peloton currently has split strength training programs available with many instructors, including content in German and Spanish as well. If you’re interested in exploring all of the various programs Peloton has to offer, check out our site for a complete guide.

We will share more details regarding Jess’ upcoming split strength content as new information becomes available. Are you looking forward to the launch?
