Jess Sims now has her first split strength training program on Peloton. This morning, the Jess Sims 3-day split strength program was released, which is an intermediate level program.
Each of the workouts will be 45 minutes long.
When discussing the program, Jess mentioned that this program isn’t like her normal workouts, as this is a Peloton hypertrophy program. She said that “you’ll want to grab dumbbells that are HEAVIER than normal because this is hypertrophy training aka building muscle aka there is a lot of rest because when you go heavy enough, you NEED IT! Trust me lol. You should be STRUGGLING for the last few reps and paying close attention to the target reps I prescribe. If you’re getting way more, congrats you’re strong as hell – get heavier weights.”

She said that “I talk all the time in class about how purposeful repetition is KEY to progress (truly the only way you can “PR” is by doing the same class and noting how much weight and how many reps you’ve done and how many rounds/how much recovery time you get in AMRAPs and EMOMs), and now here is a program designed for just that 🥰”
This was followed by mentioning how you’ll want to track your weights & reps, so you can see your progress over time.
Jess also talked about adding cardio along with this program, mentioning to listen to your body and adjust as time goes on.
