Jess King teaching Power Zone Classes according to Peloton class schedule

Jess King appears to be coming to the Peloton power zone team.

Update – Peloton has confirmed Jess King as the newest Peloton power zone instructor, and shared some information about how often she will have classes.

According to the upcoming Peloton class schedule, Jess King is teaching a power zone class. The schedule shows she has a 45-minute Power Zone Endurance Ride on Thursday, July 16 at 5:30pm ET.

That would make her the first new instructor to teach Power Zone classes since Hannah Frankson, Tunde Oyeneyin, and Charlotte Weidenbach joined the format in November 2023.

The move is a natural one. Jess has long taught her signature Sweat Steady rides, a long-interval, steady-effort format that has often been compared to Power Zone training. Her recent nine-week progressive Sweat Steady series leaned even further in that direction, built around benchmark efforts and structured endurance blocks not unlike an FTP-based Power Zone plan.

Although Peloton added new power zone instructors in 2023, several of those instructors do not teach that many power zone classes. Tunde Oyeneyin has taught only 3 power zone classes so far this year, while Hannah Frankson has taught only 7 classes. Charlotte Weidenbach has been the most prolific power zone instructor of the group, having taught 20+ classes this year so far.

For now, it is a single class on the schedule with no official announcement from Peloton, Jess, or Matt Wilpers (who historically has trained and onboarded each new power zone instructor).

We will share more as additional classes are added or announcements are made. Are you looking forward to taking Power Zone classes with Jess King?
