Peloton has announced a new partnership with the HOKA Hackney Half Marathon, joining the popular UK race as its Official “Cross-Training Equipment Partner” for the 2026 event.
The collaboration was announced via press release:
Peloton has announced a new partnership with the HOKA Hackney Half Marathon, stepping in as the Official Cross Training Equipment Partner for the highly anticipated and sold-out event.
They went on to share that in addition to doing promotion of Peloton’s hardware, Peloton would host some run clubs in the lead up to the event, saying:
As the Official Cross Training Equipment Partner, Peloton will be on hand to help thousands of runners get race-ready. Peloton workouts, which are accessible on the Cross Training Series Bike, Bike+, Tread, and the Peloton App, span Strength, Running, Cycling, Yoga, Pilates, Stretching, Mobility and more. In the lead-up to the HOKA Hackney Half, famed for its picturesque East London route and lively atmosphere, participants will also be able to join special run clubs.
The HOKA Hackney Half Marathon is one of the UK’s most recognizable races, known for its lively crowds and scenic route through East London. The 2026 edition is already sold out and will take place on Sunday, May 17 as part of the broader Hackney Moves festival weekend.
As part of the partnership, Peloton will showcase their range of workouts designed to complement running training. These include classes across strength, cycling, yoga, stretching, mobility, and more, available through Peloton hardware such as the Bike/Bike+, Tread, and the digital app. According to Peloton, the goal is to highlight how combining running with other forms of training can help athletes prepare for race day and recover afterward.
Running participation continues to grow across the UK. Data cited by Peloton from Sport England’s Active Lives Survey shows that the number of people participating in running has increased by roughly 349,000 compared to the previous year. The company also notes that more than 300,000 Peloton members have used its platform to train for a race.

Strength training in particular has become increasingly popular among UK-based members. Peloton says it ranks as the second-most selected workout type in the region, with members averaging around seven strength classes per month.
In the lead-up to race day, Peloton will host special run clubs from Peloton Studios London (PSL). At select events connected to the HOKA Hackney Half Marathon, Peloton instructors will also lead warm-up and cool-down sessions for participants.
Runners will also have the opportunity to book complimentary spots in on-demand, mat-based strength classes at the London studio on Sundays.
Peloton says these opportunities are designed to introduce runners to cross-training programs such as the 10-week Road to Half Marathon program and the Strength for Runners class collection, which aim to help runners build durability alongside endurance.
The first such group run club has been announced – an “Intervals” run club on April 8th @ 5:00pm from Peloton Studios London.
It will be a 5K going to St. James’ park, where the group will do interval drills & workouts. There are no pace groups for this event. Those who wish to attend can find details and RSVP here (you’ll be redirected to the studios booking website). The event specifically mentions there is not instructor associated with this run club.
During race weekend, Peloton will also have a presence on site at the Hackney Moves festival village on Hackney Marshes. Participants will be able to stop by Peloton’s event stand to enter competitions and try out equipment including the Bike+ and Tread. The company will also host a dedicated cheer zone near mile nine of the course to encourage runners as they approach the later stages of the race.
Peloton instructor Susie Chan will also be participating in the race, and she reflected on her connection to the event, stating:
“I’m excited to experience the race day atmosphere at the HOKA Hackney Half—I ran Hackney Half in its very first year back in 2014. This year I’m sure I will be slower, as I’ve got a bit older! My training focus over the years has shifted from solely running to one of future-proofing, which means incorporating strength and yoga, which I know will pay off when I race through the streets of east London in May.”
Jade Davenport, Senior Partnerships Manager at Motiv Sports UK, emphasized the goal of creating meaningful engagement for participants. He explained:
“When we look at partnerships across the HOKA Hackney Half, and all of our events across the country, we strive to place real engagement and meaningful activation at the heart. This partnership with Peloton and the HOKA Hackney Half does exactly that, helping to give participants at the sell-out event access to the benefits of cross-training for race preparation and recovery.”
With the race already sold out and participation in running continuing to grow across the UK, the partnership gives Peloton another way to connect to in-person events.
