Peloton is working on a fix for how they calculate the total number of minutes members are working out.
A new bug report was recently created, titled “Discrepancies between totals minute calculation between Challenges and Profile Dashboards.”
This bug notes that some members may see differences in their total minutes they have worked out, depending on whether they are viewing a time-based challenge (such as “The Annual” challenge – where you get badges for certain intervals of 1,000 minutes) vs the Total Active Time graph on their profile.

In the report, they state that they have “identified the root cause” behind the bug – and are working on a fix.
While the fix has not rolled out yet (and no timeline or estimate is given at this point), they do state that they will “backfill data to correct this for members”
The full latest status on this is:
Team has identified the root cause an issue that impact some members with their total minute calculation between time based Challenges and Total Active Time graph on the profile page. Team working to implement a fix and will backfill data to correct this for members.
Members have long noticed small differences between the number of minutes they have worked out vs what the challenges say. Peloton didn’t explicitly say whether they the numbers seen on challenges will shift, or the time seen on the Total Active Time graph will be what is updated.
The Total Active Time graphs are a newer feature that has been rolling out over the last few months to various hardware devices and the apps.
