The USPTO appeals board yesterday ruled that they would allow a full reexamination into one of Peloton’s patents in a suit that had been brought by Echelon

Peloton will be allowed to continue selling the Peloton Bike+ after a judge declined to make a preliminary injunction in a patent lawsuit brought against Peloton by ICON Health & Fitness, makers of the NordicTrack products.

Peloton has made a filing to request that the trademarks be cancelled for the phrases “Spin” and “Spinning”, which are currently owned by Mad Dogg Athletics.

Peloton is being sued by the company who holds the trademarks on Spinning, and created the first spin bike, for patent infringement of two different patents.

Peloton is being sued in New York State court over the lack of closed captioning in their classes. The case is seeking class action status, an order forcing Peloton to add closed captions, and damages.

A former employee has filed a lawsuit against Peloton, alleging violations of New York State labor laws over pay frequency, as well as religious discrimination.
