Issues with buffering in live Peloton classes & playing Lanebreak

Peloton is reporting more issues impacting some Peloton members this week.

First is a bug related to taking live classes. There is an issue where some members “may experience buffering during live classes.” This issue was first reported on January 5th, 2025, and Peloton says they are “actively working with our providers for support.”

This appears to be a worldwide issue, however, members in Germany have been having a confirmed issue with buffering in live classes for nearly a month.

First reported on December 17th, Peloton says “German members may experience increased buffering during live classes”. In that case, Peloton reports that this issue appears to be related to one of their Content Delivery Networks – but the issue has been ongoing for almost a month now.

Peloton says:

We’ve identified an issue in Germany between our CDN provider and members ISP causing increased in buffering when taking live classes. Team has reached out to our providers for support.

Finally – Peloton is reporting a new issue related to their Lanebreak video game. Some members are unable to access Lanebreak, and unable to use the game. Peloton simply says that “The team is investigating” for this issue.

This follows an issue at the end of last week related to the Netflix app which was resolved yesterday.
