Classes in Peloton's Bench Strength Collection

Peloton Launches Bench Strength Collection – Classes Using a Bench

Peloton has launched a new dedicated collection for strength classes that incorporate a bench.

Called “Bench Strength,” the collection contains all standalone classes – i.e. those not part of an official training program – on the Peloton platform that incorporate a bench.

As of publishing time, this consists of three classes, but Peloton’s curation of a collection suggests that more are on the way.

The official collection is now live on the digital app, hardware devices, and web browser, and the description reads:

Elevate your workout with this collection of strength classes where a bench is your main accessory.

The collection currently contains three classes ranging between 10 and 30 minutes in length and taught by Robin Arzón, Rad Lopez, and Andy Speer. Class focuses include glutes & legs, arms & shoulders, and chest & back.

Note that these are technically not the first classes on the Peloton platform to utilize a bench; Andy Speer’s Total Strength: Density Training 2 program incorporates a bench, as does some content on the Strength+ app.

Moreover, Robin teased in one of her recent strength classes that she may have a bench-based class series on the way. It is currently unclear whether this would be an official Peloton training program, but we will be sure to share any details as they become available.

In the meantime, members can expect more benches to begin appearing in Peloton strength classes moving forward.

Benches are a popular piece of equipment in strength training, offering both versatility and support across a wide range of workouts. Benches can help modify range of motion, making certain exercises easier or more challenging; and are an effective way to work on balance, control, and unilateral training. Benches are common in most gyms, and are even a popular item for members who work out at home to add to their home gym setups.

You can easily access the latest Peloton classes to incorporate a bench via the Bench Strength Collection.

This is great news!! I love using our workout bench but it hasn’t been used much lately with all the peloton strength classes I’ve been doing. I will give these classes a try this week!

So happy to see the new bench classes. I have been using my bench anyway in all classes for exercises where I’d be on the floor if I didn’t have a bench. Or any exercise I choose to be seated instead of standing. But it’s very nice to now have classes designed with the bench. Will love to see more.
