The 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue featuring Peloton instructor Tunde Oyeneyin was released this past week, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The release falls on the same day as the launch of Tunde’s Peloton apparel capsule collection, which also marks Peloton’s first foray into swimwear.

Tunde shared the moment on Instagram, reflecting on the full-circle nature of the timing:

“Two years ago, I came on Instagram and told you I couldn’t swim. One year later, you voted me in as a 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie. Now, almost a year to the day in a full-circle moment, the issue drops on the same day as the release of my first capsule collection with Peloton, introducing swimwear to the brand for the very first time.”

She went on to talk about his this has been a journey of growth for her, saying:

“If things never change, then things never change. What once felt like one of my biggest fears has become one of my greatest sources of growth and confidence. I feel free. Thank you for believing in me, cheering me on, and reminding me that the things that scare us most are often the very things that change us for the better.”

Tunde’s path to the issue started with her selection as a finalist in the 2025 SI Swim Search contest last summer, followed by a runway walk at Miami Swim Week and a public voting process. She was named the winner in August 2025, with fellow Peloton instructors surprising her at the end of one of her live classes.

Sports Illustrated then released a first look at her photo shoot in Montauk back in April, ahead of today’s official issue release.
