Peloton Strength+ App Now Available in Canada

Peloton is expanding the availability of the Strength+ app.

Starting today, the Peloton Strength+ app is now available in Canada.

Like in the US, it is free for those who already have a Peloton All-Access, Guide, or App+ membership.

For those who don’t already have one of the above memberships, Strength+ is available as a standalone subscription for $12.99 CAD. There is a 14 day free trial available as well.

The Strength+ app is currently still only available on iOS devices (which is the same situation for those in the US). There is no official word on a date for the release of Peloton Strength+ on Android.

The Strength+ app is designed for those working out in a gym setting who have access to a full suite of workout equipment. Within Strength+, users have two main ways of working out.

One is with the Workout Generator, which designs a custom workout for you based on your goals for that day, taking into account the equipment you have. However, those workouts are not traditional “classes” like Peloton members are used to, and are not instructor led. There is also no playlist – you play your own music from another app.

The other main option is the the handful of programs that live within the Strength+ app. Those are designed by the Peloton instructors – but are still not traditional classes. While in the early days Peloton was releasing new Strength+ programs on a fairly regular basis, there have not been many new Strength+ programs recently.

Peloton’s Chief Product Officer Nick Caldwell teased in a recent AMA that the Strength+ app was nearing launch in Canada – but other countries would take longer due to metric units & localization. He did also share that they were still working to bring Strength+ to Android as well.

Strength+ first officially launched in the US in December 2024, following months of beta testing.

Those in Canada can find the app here.
