Peloton Repowered (Used Peloton Marketplace) Opens for Buying in Beta Markets

Peloton’s official used hardware marketplace – Peloton Repowered – has taken the next step in its phased launch: as of June 17, users in the three initial test markets can now purchase used equipment directly through the platform.

UpdatePeloton Repowered officially launched on July 29th after ~2 months in beta.

Peloton shared the update via social media, highlighting that the buying functionality is now available in select markets.

When Repowered was first announced earlier this month, only sellers in New York City, Boston, and Washington D.C. were able to list their used Bikes, Bike+, Treads, and Rows. At the time, no inventory was available for buyers.

With enough listings now live, buying functionality is officially open in those same beta markets, meaning prospective customers can now browse, add items to their cart, and complete purchases of used Peloton hardware through Peloton’s platform.

This development brings Peloton closer to their goal of offering a more secure, streamlined alternative to third-party resale platforms like Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist – offering built-in protections and perks for both sellers and buyers.

Some of the buyer benefits include: $50 off the equipment activation fee; access to the Peloton History Summary, showing usage and maintenance records; and buyer protection via Peloton’s resale platform partner.

For sellers, the platform provides cash back (up to 70% of the sale price), exclusive discounts on new equipment, and the ability to choose safe pickup locations. You can find the full details via our comprehensive overview article.

Peloton Repowered remains in beta for now, with no official timeline yet announced for expansion beyond the three test cities. However, Peloton previously indicated that a nationwide rollout is expected later this year. We will be sure to share updates as they become available.

In the meantime, Peloton customers in NYC, Boston, and D.C. can now explore listings and purchase used equipment by visiting repowered.onepeloton.com.
