Peloton “Mobility & Strength For Longevity” Classes / Collection Coming Soon [May 18th]

Peloton will soon expand its growing wellness content library with a new offering focused on healthy aging.

Update – The first Peloton mobility & strength for longevity classes are now available.

During the company’s recent earnings call, CEO Peter Stern teased a forthcoming class series titled “Mobility & Strength for Longevity” — a new format that has not yet launched on the platform.

In his closing remarks, Stern addressed the many investors who are also Peloton members, encouraging them to explore new content; including referencing “new series.” He specifically stated: “And looking forward, try our new series, including progressive push for cycling and mobility and strength for longevity.”

The Progressive Push cycling class type he referenced has already launched and is designed to help members gradually build endurance and power on the Bike through progressive intervals. However, Peloton Mobility & Strength for Longevity classes have yet to appear in the class library, but based on his remarks sounds like it will launch very soon.

While details remain limited, the title implies a holistic approach to movement and strength training, geared toward promoting long-term health and functional fitness — a key interest area for many Peloton members. The class type would align well with Peloton’s recent shift into wellness-focused content, such as their Health Centered Collection – which has tackled topics like heart and metabolic health with guest experts – and their dive into nutrition with “Peloton Nutritionist” Dr. Jaime Schehr and the “Peloton Kitchen” series.

Once launched, Mobility & Strength for Longevity could appeal to older adults, returning athletes, and anyone focused on staying strong and mobile as they age — a demographic that Peloton has shown increasing interest in serving. We will continue to share information on these new classes / collection as details become available.

These new classes come as Peloton is experimenting with other new types of content, such as their recently launched stroller classes.
