A new program from Joslyn Thompson Rule called “Build Up to Push-Ups” was added this week to the Peloton Strength+ app.
This is an intermediate 10-week program with 10-minute workouts – 2 times a week.
If you are accessing this from a phone with the Strength+ app installed, this link to “Build Up to Push-Ups” will take you directly to Joslyn’s newest program. Otherwise, you will be directed to Peloton’s main Strength+ website.
The official program description for “Build Up to Push-Ups” is:
“A 10 week program to strengthen your upper body and core, progressively building strength to achieve full push-ups with perfect form.”

Joslyn shared in her program preview:
“If push-ups feel impossible or just plain hard, do not worry. All you need is just 10 minutes of exercise twice a week, and you’ll be doing them with ease. You can add it to your existing training or find 10 minutes in your day to get moving. Every 3 weeks we’ll change up the program to progress and build on what you’ve learned.”
Joslyn’s push-up program will use the following gym equipment: dumbbells, plyo box, and cable machine. As always with the Strength+ app, if you do not have access to a certain piece of gym equipment, you can swap an exercise out for something comparable.
The suggested program schedule for “Build Up to Push-Ups” is workouts on days 1 and 4 each week, with the same workout type on both days for that week. Below is what each week’s 10-minute workouts focus on.
