Peloton has rolled out an update to its Personalized Plans feature, giving members new options when it comes to recovery.
Initially launched to all members in the United States and Canada at the beginning of the year, the Personalized Plans feature helps users stay on track with structured, goal-oriented weekly training schedules tailored to their preferences and progress.
The latest update focuses on recovery days. Members now have the ability to customize which types of activities are suggested on their recovery days, selecting from a variety of modalities that suit their individual needs and interests.
A notification within the app alerted members to the enhancement, reading:
Feature update
Set recovery day activities for personalized plans
Customize the activities we recommend on recovery days in plan preferences

From there, members have the option to select from the following modalities: stretching, mobility, yoga, pilates, barre, or meditation. Selecting top choices from these options will inform which classes Peloton recommends on rest and recovery days.
This development offers greater flexibility for users when it comes to their rest and recovery; and also aligns with Peloton’s broader push toward overall wellness and member-led personalization.
Personalized Workout Plans essentially deliver a weekly workout plan based on the member’s personal preferences and past workout history. The feature is designed to help members achieve their fitness goals by creating custom schedules tailored to individual preferences and desired progress. Users can select their goals between two available options – though Peloton has previously stated more options are on the way – and the app generates a weekly schedule tailored to those objectives. The plans adjust based on completed workouts and member feedback so that they remain effective and engaging. At present, Personalized Plans are still limited to two goal types: “Build Strength” and “Support Weight Goals.” Peloton has not yet indicated when or if the feature will be expanded to include additional training goals.
If you utilize Peloton’s Personalized Plans feature, will this recovery update be useful to you?
