A bug related to metrics on the Peloton Row has been identified, and a fix is expected to roll out starting on August 26th.
Members have been reporting issues for the past several days or more with their metrics while using a Peloton Row device – but only while doing floor exercises. This means it is impacting them if they use the Row to do a strength workout, yoga workout, or while doing the strength portions during a row bootcamp class.
However, if they are doing a traditional rowing class – everything works fine.
The most common issue reported with this bug is that while some metrics are showing on screen – the calories burned is being reported as 0. This is happening no matter what sort of heart rate device is connected – be it an Apple Watch or a third party one connected via Ant+.
Peloton support was initially telling members to do factory resets on their device, but this did not solve the issue.
Now, Peloton has created an official bug for this issue on Peloton Rowers.

In addition, they have gone ahead and said that a fix has been identified. Unfortunately, that fix is not going to be rolled out immediately. Instead, Peloton is saying that the fix will begin being pushed out to Peloton Rowers starting around August 26th.
Should the timeline for this fix change, we will be sure to provide updates here – and you can check the Peloton status page as well.
