Peloton is down for some members this morning (Peloton outage on April 24, 2024)

Peloton is currently experiencing an outage for some members. While it is not impacting everyone, this is causing Peloton to be down for some people.

Update – As of 9:18am ET, Peloton shared they are starting to see the issue being resolved for some members, but were still working on a fix. This update comes after Peloton was down for ~1.5 hours. At 9:38am ET, Peloton said a fix was fully implemented.

According to the incident report, the outage is due to one of Peloton’s “upstream service providers”.

Peloton indicates they are working with them to fix the issue. This outage is titled “Elevated errors with Activation and Login”

The outage started around 7:45am ET, April 24, 2024.

Shortly after posting that an outage was occurring, they shared more details, saying:

We have identified the root cause and traced it back to a upstream service provider. Currently working with them to help resolve the issue.

Those impacted are unable to login, or are getting messages on their app that say “There was a problem loading the library.” Others can view the class library, but get an error message when trying to load and take a class.

When using a a hardware device like the Peloton Bike, Peloton Tread, or Peloton Row, some users are not able to get past the login screen, which is giving error messages of “Could not load profile. Please try again later.”

At 9:18am ET, around 90 minutes after the outage started, Peloton shared that a fix was beginning to roll out, saying:

We are currently seeing login issues resolving but conitnue to work with our upstream provider to monitor full recovery.

At 9:38am ET, Peloton stated that the fix was fully implemented, but they would be keeping an eye on the status of things.
