Peloton Adds New Groove Ride Instructors – Leanne Hainsby & Mila Lazar – and Adds Groove Classes in German

Fans of Peloton’s Groove rides have two new instructors to take classes with: Leanne Hainsby and Mila Lazar. Both instructors recently taught their debut Groove rides on the Peloton platform over the past few months.

For those unfamiliar, Groove rides are a specific format of cycling classes offered by Peloton. The class plan is heavily coordinated with the music, which is often – but not always – Electronic Dance Music (EDM). Unlike many other Peloton cycling classes, Groove rides include heavy choreography both in and out of the saddle, such as tap-backs, hinges, jumps, and arm presses.

For years Groove rides have been taught by only two instructors: Emma Lovewell and Cody Rigsby. In addition, classes were only offered in English. However, over the past few months two United Kingdom-based instructors released Groove rides for the very first time.

Mila Lazar taught three Groove rides in German on July 24, August 25, and September 22 – the first times the format has been offered in German.

In addition, Leanne Hainsby released a 30 minute Groove Ride on September 6.

Though Peloton has not made any official announcements regarding the matter, these new classes suggest that more Groove rides with Leanne and Mila are likely on the way. In addition, Peloton could potentially continue to expand the Groove instructor roster.

If you enjoy Groove rides, you can easily search within the on-demand library via the dedicated “Groove” filter, which will display all available Groove rides across all instructors.
