With the launch of their new Cross Training hardware lineup, Peloton is also quietly updating its referral program – introducing a new type of reward, a tiered discount system, and an upcoming change to annual referral limits.
Effective immediately, the reward for referring a friend to Peloton has changed. Instead of earning a $100 Peloton Apparel gift card, members will now receive one free month of All-Access Membership (a $50 value in the US).
Peloton confirmed the change in the updated referral program support page, noting that the switch aligns the program more closely with their core platform and subscription offerings.
The incentive for new customers using a referral link has also been updated. Previously, the person using the referral code and buying new equipment received a flat $100 discount on hardware purchases. Under the new structure, the discount varies by product and country, with larger discounts on higher-end equipment.
In the U.S., discounts now range from $250 off a Cross Training Bike to $600 off a Cross Training Tread+. In Canada, discounts go up to $750 CAD, while UK members can receive up to £500 off. You can see the full breakdown by region and device via the support page and in the image embedded below.
The other major change is to how many referrals members can make per year. Peloton currently allows up to six referrals annually – a limit first introduced in 2022 (down from 12 prior to that).
Beginning January 1, 2026, the referral cap will drop again, this time to four per calendar year.
The referral program remains open to active All-Access and Rental Members. App-only users, paused memberships, Peloton employees, and members of the same household are not eligible to participate.
Eligible members can find their personal referral links by visiting: account.onepeloton.com/settings/referrals/equipment.
After a successful referral, Peloton sends an email with a Voucher Code that can be redeemed for one month of free All-Access Membership. Codes expire three months after being issued.
