Peloton has announced a new program taught by guest instructor Christian Vande Velde called “Train Like A Pro.”
This is a one week cycling training program (with 6 days worth of classes) which Christian has designed to simulate some of the training rides he would have done outdoors to train for the Tour De France. This is created to “build the foundations of professional-level cycling.”
The different cycling class types include:
- HIIT Training Ride
- Endurance Training Ride
- Recovery Ride
- Special Training Ride
- Speed Training Ride
Christian states this will allow you to “take all the guess work out of what you should be doing to have more intention in your training”. He will help you work on power, speed work, intensity, as well as recovery.

Here is the official description for “Train Like a Pro” from Peloton: “In this program, you’ll build the foundations of professional-level cycling, boosting technique, endurance, and confidence. Repeat as needed until you’re ready for our Pro Cyclist content on demand.”

How to join the Peloton Train Like a Pro with Christian Vande Velde program
At time of publishing, programs can only be joined from the Peloton Bikes, Tread, Row, Guide, the Peloton iOS app, or the Peloton Android app. They are no longer accessible from the Peloton website or TV apps. You can browse to the programs area, find the Train Like a Pro program, and join the program.

With the launch of Peloton programs v3.0, these are no longer locked – in other words, you can browse the programs on Peloton hardware or app and take whichever classes you want, on your own schedule.
