Peloton has finally added a long-requested program: Strength for Runners.
This new program is led by Becs Gentry & Matt Wilpers – and is a one week program, like all the other “Strength for X” programs.
The 3 main classes in the program are 30 minute strength classes. One is taught by Matt, one by Becs, and then there is a two for one class with both teaching. There is also a 10 min Core For Runners class with Becs to round out the program.
The program says it will help those who take it “build strength, stability, and performance” as well as “keep you thriving all season.”

Peloton has added many “Strength for” programs over the years – from cyclists, basketball, golfers, skiers, soccer, and even tennis & pickleball. While Peloton has had “Strength for Runners” classes in the regular on-demand library – there has never been an official program of them, until now.
Below, you will find full details on the Peloton Strength for Runners program, including the class list.

In the first workout, Matt mentions that you should stack the strength work after your running. I think he was saying that this is done to avoid overdoing muscle stress and allow time for recovery. I’m about to kick off half marathon training using peloton Road to half marathon. Would you be able to suggest how best to overlay these two workouts?
