Peloton instructor Selena Samuela has officially announced a change to her teaching schedule, revealing that she will now be teaching live just one week per month at Peloton.
Selena shared the update via Instagram, addressing questions from members who have noticed her absence from live classes recently. She hasn’t taught a live class with members in-person at Peloton Studios New York (PSNY) in well over two months, with her last live class taking place on November 17, 2024. Though she has had a number of new classes since then, all of them have been pre-recorded and dropped straight to the on-demand library, typically at midnight ET.
During her update, Selena explains that she has received a multitude of questions regarding her absence from the schedule. She shares that she will be back at PSNY from February 17-23 to teach live classes and record content for future release.
Moreover, this is what her schedule will look like moving forward: roughly one week per month live on the schedule from New York, with pre-recorded releases throughout the rest of the month.

Beyond the period of February 17-23, Selena’s name does not appear on the Peloton studio schedule for classes with members for at least the following five weeks.
Selena did confirm that she will continue to teach Tread Bootcamp content even with this reduced schedule; however, these will not be live classes. They will instead be pre-recorded, and then released as on-demand or premiere during the weeks she isn’t teaching live.
This shift in schedule bears some similarity to the approach taken by fellow instructor Callie Gullickson, who also moved to a reduced teaching cadence amidst a move to Florida. However, unlike Callie, Selena did not provide any specific explanation for the change.
As a reminder, in 2024 Peloton announced a new instructor “off-season” practice, during which instructors will receive several weeks off at a time as part of an “evolved teaching schedule.” However, the schedules of instructors such as Selena and Callie – who will teach only one week per month moving forward – appear to be a separate arrangement.
Instructor off-seasons were disclosed following the latest round of Peloton contract negotiations last June, which resulted in the departure of three instructors.
For members who have been wondering about Selena’s whereabouts, her latest Instagram post provides clarity about what to expect moving forward.
