Peloton instructor Matty Maggiacomo is taking a short break from the live schedule to recover from minor knee surgery, and will not be teaching any classes for the next few weeks.
In an Instagram Story shared a few weeks ago, Matty let members know about the upcoming procedure, writing:
“I will be returning to the LIVE schedule the week of September 8th. Our first LIVE Walk & Talk after the break will be 9/12. I’m going in for minor knee surgery next week and it will take about 4 weeks to heal up. Send healing vibes!”
This week Matty posted another update showing himself in bed with his dog Nana and a bandaged knee, expressing gratitude for his medical team. He wrote:
“Legs UP and comfy. @hspecialsurgery Sports Medicine Institute offers the BEST care you can possibly receive. Very happy.”

Members can expect Matty to return to the schedule during the week of September 8, and he is planning to be teaching a live Walk & Talk class on September 12. Of course, this date is subject to change based on how his recovery goes.
In the meantime, there may still be new classes from Matty released to the on-demand library that had been recorded before the surgery.
We are wishing Matty a healing and restful recovery!
