Bug with Countdown Timer in Some Live Peloton Classes Showing 00:00 the Entire Class

Some Peloton members are reporting a bug where the countdown timer during live classes is stuck at 00:00 for the entire duration of the class.

Normally, the timer in the upper left corner of the screen starts at the full class length – for example, 30:00 for a 30-minute class – and counts down to 0:00 as the class progresses. In addition, there is a visual indicator with a bar timer as well.

With this bug, the timer displays “00:00 Remaining” from the moment the class begins and stays there throughout the entire workout, as if the class has already ended.

The issue appears to be primarily affecting cycling & running/walking classes, though it’s not impacting every class or every member. The timer bug doesn’t prevent you from completing the class. The class still plays through in full and metrics are still tracked. Members just don’t have the visual indicator of how long is left int he class.

On-demand classes are not currently impacted by this – it is only live classes.

As of now, Peloton has not posted an official bug report on their status page for this issue.

We’ll update this post if Peloton acknowledges the bug or issues a fix.
