Peloton Plans to Continue Releasing One Kettlebell Class Per Week (on Wednesdays) for the Time Being

Peloton has officially launched Kettlebell classes, marking another expansion of strength training offerings. As previously reported, the platform introduced its first set of Kettlebell classes earlier last month, with plans to release new installments on a regular schedule each Wednesday.

In a recent interview with Athletech News, instructor Andy Speer reaffirmed this release schedule, clarifying that members should currently expect only one new Kettlebell class per week.

“Right now, we’re trying to drop one a week,” Andy stated. “We’ll see how the content evolves from there, but we’re always working on something new.”

While this once weekly cadence ensures a steady flow of fresh content, it remains to be seen whether Peloton will increase the frequency of new Kettlebell classes over time or if it will follow a trajectory similar to shadowboxing – where releases gradually slowed to the point that members question whether the content had been quietly discontinued.

Peloton’s approach to new content categories has varied, with some – like Barre and Pilates – receiving a steady influx of programming and inclusion on the live schedule; while others – like Dance Cardio and Shadowboxing – have seen more sporadic updates. Given the growing popularity of strength training among Peloton members – particularly in the midst of the launch of Peloton’s Strength+ app – Kettlebell workouts have the potential to carve out a strong presence in the content lineup, provided Peloton commits to consistent releases.

For now, members can look forward to weekly additions to the Kettlebell collection each Wednesday, with the possibility that Peloton will continue to evolve and expand the offering in response to demand.
