Peloton has appointed Dianna Kraus as its first-ever Chief Communications Officer.
This marks a significant development under new CEO Peter Stern. Kraus will begin the role on May 19 and will report directly to Stern.
In this newly created position, Kraus will oversee Peloton’s global communications strategy – including consumer, corporate, international, and internal communications – leading a team of 17 people. Prior to Stern hiring a Chief Communications Officer, Peloton’s communications department had been led by people with titles of “Vice President of Global Communications.”
Kraus provided the following statement to PR Week:
“Peloton is a beloved brand that revolutionized a category and continues to inspire members daily. But it’s also a company that is turning a page. I want communications to help widen the aperture on Peloton’s potential and drive the kind of multistakeholder impact that really only comms can.”
Kraus most recently served as senior vice president and senior partner at FleishmanHillard, where she spent 15 years counseling major clients such as Fitbit, Lowe’s, Visa, BMW, and GoPro.

Kraus’ arrival comes after the departure of several key executives following some restructuring. This included Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Lauren Weinberg, and vice president of global communications Letena Lindsay (who is said to be leaving at the end of this month). Peloton is currently seeking a new CMO, who will also report to Stern.
Despite the executive turnover, a Peloton spokesperson confirmed that there will be no changes to their PR agency relationships at this time.
