Peloton is making a small, but useful update to some class types.
Starting today, pre & post workout stretches should be available across all hardware devices – regardless of whether it’s a “run” or “ride” stretch. This change is also coming to arms & light weight classes.
Historically, pre/post workout stretch classes were only available on the specific device type they were recorded for, or the studio they were recorded in (or the Peloton app/Guide). This meant that pre-run stretches, and post-run stretches, were only available on the Peloton Tread, but not the Peloton Bike. Similarly, pre-ride stretches and post-ride stretches could only be taken from the Bike, but not the Tread. Row stretches were also locked to the row.
That is now changing. A change is rolling out to all members that will allow these classes to be taken on any hardware device – including the Row.
This means that all pre-ride stretches and post-ride stretches can be taken on the Bike, Tread, and Row. The pre-run stretches and post-run stretches will also be available across all 3 devices types: Bikes, Treads, and Row, and same with the Row stretches opening up.

Once the update is live, it will apply to all the old classes in the library, as well as new ones moving forward.
This change is also coming to Arms & Light Weight classes. These will now be available across all 3 hardware device types as well. Arms & Light weight classes had the same restrictions as well – if one was recorded on the Bike, it couldn’t be taken on the Tread, and vice versa. This update will open those up across all hardware devices as well.
While the Peloton app (and Peloton Guide) have always been able to see and play all of these classes, it was always frustrating to members who might finish a bike ride on their Bike or Bike+, and want to follow it up with a stretch, but not be able to continue that on their device if the stretch they wanted to take was technically a post-run stretch.

This change will fix that, and allow members to take any pre/post class stretch on any device – and any arms & light weight ones as well.
Peloton says these updates are part of their “emphasis on Cross Training and providing our Members with more options wherever and on whichever device they choose.”
This change is not specific to the newer “Cross Training” hardware however – the Original Series Bikes, Treads, and Row are getting it as well.
While there have been glitches that have briefly caused this to be possible in the past – this is a purposeful update that is here to stay.
