The summary of the new “Rising Strength” program is:
“4 week program, progression of beginner – advanced beginner.”
In the program preview, Joslyn elaborated:
“This 4-week full body program is all about building strength endurance: higher reps, better movement, and building on your existing foundation. We’ll train 3 days a week starting with 30 minute sessions, and by week 4 we’ll be leveling up. New exercises, longer workouts, and an extra challenge to switch things up.”
As she teases, most of the workouts will be 30 minutes, but then the final week, you’ll progress from 30 minutes, to 35 minutes, and then on to 40 minutes for the final workout.
If you take “Rising Strength” as designed, the required gym equipment includes dumbbells, lat pulldown cable machine, plyo box, and seated cable row machine. As always with the Strength+ app, if you do not have access to a certain piece of gym equipment, you can swap an exercise out for something comparable.
The suggested program schedule is workouts on days 1, 3, and 5 with recovery on the remaining days.
