Peloton Teases Instructors (Denis, Kirsten, Emma) Teaching Classes In New Modalities

Members can expect numerous Peloton instructors to debut in new* modalities in the near future.

UpdateDenis & Kirsten’s new classes will start in May, but no official announcement yet for Emma.

Peloton teased new instructor modalities via Instagram – however, the post was soon deleted. (Some of the comments had been negative reactions around Peloton’s use of artificial intelligence to create the images, rather than using real artists. However, no official reason was given for the post being deleted).

The post featured series of images shared the central @OnePeloton Instagram account as part of the ongoing action figure trend, which uses artificial intelligence to turn people into their own personal action figures, complete with accessories.

Peloton used the trend for three instructors: Emma Lovewell, Kristen Ferguson, and Denis Morton. The caption read:

hint hint: these instructors are joining other modalities soon, drop your best guesses below! 👀
We will pin the first comment that guesses all three right! 📌

This reveals that each of these three instructors will soon be branching out to new modalities. The accessories pictured with each instructor suggested the modality. Emma Lovewell will teach Pilates; Kirsten Ferguson will teach Tread Bootcamps; and Denis Morton will teach Meditations.

Before deleting the post, Peloton did pin a comment with those guesses – essentially confirming those pairings

Note that Emma is not completely new to Pilates; she currently has five Pilates classes available on the platform from 2020 and 2021. However, she has not taught any Pilates classes on Peloton in nearly four years, and this post suggests will become a regular Pilates instructor and may even teach live classes. Similarly, Denis has nine meditation classes available through Peloton already, dating between 2021 and 2024. The post suggests he could be added to the regular meditation lineup.

Kirsten has never taught Tread Bootcamp – and, in fact, has never even taught strength classes – and this would be a brand new modality for her.

These additions come after numerous instructors departed Peloton in 2024; Kristin McGee taught Pilates regularly and Ross Rayburn taught yoga regularly. Peloton could be attempting to fill some of these gaps.

Peloton has since deleted this Instagram post, and it remains to be seen whether they will share the news in a different way soon. While many members were excited about the idea of their favorite instructors branching into new modalities, some members also expressed disappointment and concern by Peloton utilizing artificial intelligence to make the announcement.

We will share updates on these new instructor modalities as additional details are revealed. Will you be looking forward to any of these in particular?
