Peloton's newest "Find Your Push. Find Your Power." campaign video.

New Peloton Commercial: “Find Your Push. Find Your Power”

Peloton recently unveiled their newest marketing video, one that showcases the Tread, strength, and outdoor content.

This latest commercial & advertisement has the same name as Peloton’s campaign from this past fall: “Find Your Push. Find Your Power.” The first installment in this campaign targeted millennial men and featured prominent NFL stars and brothers T.J. Watt and J.J. Watt as official ambassadors.

This latest advertisement also appears to be targeting millennial men, and notably takes a bit of a different approach than previous commercials. The spot can be viewed via YouTube or below.

Like other recent campaigns, this leans more into Peloton’s offering contents beyond the bike. Peloton feels that everyone knows them as a bike/cardio company – so recent efforts are trying to educate people that Peloton is more than just a bike company.

The video starts out with a man receiving a text from someone named Cindy that reads: “It’s over” with a broken heart emoji. This is presumably a breakup text.

The video then shifts to a montage of the man exercising with Peloton across multiple modalities; on the Tread; in a strength class; in a bootcamp class; and in an outdoor run. Numerous instructors can be heard coaching throughout the video, including: Alex Toussaint, Callie Gullickson, and Adrian Williams. The messages include “Welcome to the start of the new you,” “worry about yourself – nobody else,” and “that’s the way you push through.”

At the beginning of the spot, the man has longer hair; however, he ends the video with shorter hair – a nod to the “post-breakup haircut” many are familiar with. At the end of the video, the man even adopts a dog.

The message behind this latest advertisement is a bit of a new direction for Peloton, in that it portrays a breakup – which often causes motivation to invest in oneself, and is a near-universal experience. This breakup fuels the character to focus on himself and bettering his life, instead of falling into a post-breakup funk.

You can watch Peloton’s newest marketing video via YouTube. What do you think of the spot?

And for anyone wondering about the music – the song in the latest Peloton commercial is “G Wagon” by Alfred Banks.
