Peloton has launched their year-long challenge – called “The Annual”
Like years before it, Peloton’s “The Annual” 2025 challenge will award members badges based on how many minutes they work out during the course of the year.
The first badge is awarded when you hit 1,000 minutes. You can earn various badges at intervals of 1,000 minutes all the way up to 20,000 minutes (note that not every interval of 1,000 earns a badge).
If you are someone who likes to plan, keep in mind that we have a Peloton Annual Challenge calculator. This allows you to put in how many minutes you have worked out so far, as well as which badge you are working towards, and it will tell you how many minutes you need to work out per day the rest of the year to earn that badge. It currently is set up for the 2024 challenge, but will be updated for the 2025 challenge shortly after the New Year.

This is now the sixth year of the Peloton Annual Challenge. While early years saw Peloton tweak the number of minutes they awarded badges for, the last two years have consistently maxed out at 20,000 minutes for badges – so it seems likely to stay consistent at that for this year as well.
The official description for The Annual 2025 challenge on Peloton reads.
A year-long challenge that helps you build habits for success. You’ll gain the discipline and consistency to create and maintain an active lifestyle. Take any class on the Bike, Tread or Peloton App to have your minutes count toward the challenge. Let’s put in the time together for 2025.
Although the challenge description doesn’t mention it, classes taken on the Peloton Guide and Peloton Row do count as well.
As a reminder, in addition to this year-long challenge, Peloton also has a separate flash challenge for the beginning of the year called The 100 Day challenge. This challenge will award a special badge if you work out every day for the first 100 days.
